Last updated: July 18, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Sprout. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sprout mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Service Provider
The Service is operated by:

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and credentials.
4. Description of the Service
Sprout is a productivity and habit-building application that helps users manage focus sessions, habits, goals, and related activities. The Service may be modified, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or distribute the Service except where permitted by law.
- Use the Service for fraudulent or abusive purposes.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, branding, content, and features, is owned by the Service Provider and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal use.
7. Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Sprout is intended as a productivity aid only. We do not guarantee any specific results, improvements in productivity, habit formation, wellbeing, academic performance, professional performance, or other outcomes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
11. Changes to the Service
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We may also discontinue parts of the Service without prior notice.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published within the Service and will become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.
13. Premium Subscriptions and Payments
Sprout offers an optional paid tier ("Sprout Premium") through monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android, and entitlements are managed through RevenueCat.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may include applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions, or turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple ID account settings or your Google Play account settings. The lifetime option is a single, non-recurring purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase and on each renewal.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that content, where applicable.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's policies and applicable consumer law. Where required by law, EU and Austrian statutory withdrawal and consumer rights for digital content remain unaffected.
On iOS, the app itself is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
14. Free Unlock Options
You may also unlock premium features without paying by watching an optional rewarded ad or completing an optional survey (each granting time-limited premium access), or by earning rewards through the referral program described below. These options require a signed-in account and are provided on a best-effort basis. We may limit, rate-limit, change, or remove them at any time. Abusing these options — including fraudulent or automated referrals, ad views, or survey completions — may result in the revocation of granted access.
14a. Referral Program
Signed-in users receive a personal referral code and invite link they can share. The referral program works as follows:
- When a new user redeems your referral code, they receive a time-limited premium unlock. When that user later makes their first premium purchase, you receive a time-limited premium unlock as the inviter. The current reward durations are shown in the app.
- Each account can redeem one referral code, and rewards are limited to a maximum number of successful referrals per inviter, as shown in the app.
- Referral rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and expire with account deletion. Time-limited unlocks that were already granted remain active until their expiry.
- Redeeming your own code, creating multiple accounts to trigger rewards, or otherwise manipulating the program is prohibited and may result in the revocation of granted access under Section 14.
- We may modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Austria, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
